Keeping up with the competition, Vodafone has revised two of its prepaid packs to offer more daily data. The telecom operator’s Rs 209 and Rs 479 prepaid recharge plans now come with 1.6GB of daily data, up from 1.5GB of data per day. The new reform comes soon after the company announced that its Rs 199 prepaid plan will now come with 1.5GB daily high-speed data instead of 1.4GB of data. Coming back to the changes in Rs 209 and Rs 479 plans, the two packs come with a validity of 28 days and 84 days respectively. Alongside more daily data, users who recharge with any of the two plans also get to avail unlimited calling without any FUP, 100 SMS per day and Vodafone Play subscription for the validity period of the recharge plan.
These revised plans by Vodafone compete with Jio’s Rs 198 and Rs 448 plans. Both the packs from Jio come with 2GB daily 4G data and offer unlimited calling, 100 SMS and Jio apps subscriptions, and 100 SMS messages per day for a validity of 28 and 84 days respectively. Vodafone recently announced a new plan with one-year validity in India. Priced at Rs 1,499, the new plan comes with unlimited calling, unlimited national roaming, Vodafone Play subscription, and 1GB data per day. After exhausting the daily data limit, one can pay 50 paise per extra MB. Users also 100 SMS daily.
The long validity Vodafone plan goes up against Rs 1,699 plan offered by Reliance Jio. Under the Reliance Jio Plan, customers get unlimited local and national calls without any FUP along with 100 local and national SMS’ daily. The Jio Plan also gives access to JioTV, JioMovies and JioSaavn Music and more apps to its customers. When it comes to data, the Jio offer gives customers, 1.5GB data per day. After the data limit has been reached, the speed drops to 64Kbps until midnight
